1939 Press Photo Henry G Begin Gives Self Up in Shooting Death of Freida Edson

Henry G Begin, 40, shown in a cell in the jail with Police Chief Clarence Wright after giving himself up in the shooting death of his ex-sweetheart, Mrs Frieda Edson. divorcee and mother of a 6 year old boy, was found slain in the rear room of Begin's Beauty Parlor. According to his confession, Mrs Edson begged him to resume their romance he had broken off on New Year's Day. When he refused, she laughed at him. Then something snapped in my mind, he said, and I reached in my drawer and got my revolver. Begin is a widower, has a 10 year old son.
