Governor Edmund Brown of California, now seeking his third term in that office, recently attended the dedication ceremonies, in San Francisco, of a new filtration plant. With him and listening intently. is Secretary of the Interior Stewart L. Udall. President Johnson is known to have expressed an interest in the California gubernatorial campaign. Mrs. Johnson also visited the state on a "non political" visit, at which time she praised Governor Brown publicly. Udall has been back several times and Senator Robert F. Kennedy of New York has helped in the campaign for Brown's re election. The Governor's most recent visitor from Washington DC has been Vice President Hubert.
