Description
William M Butler former United States Senator Chairman of the Republican National Committee during Calvin Coolidges campaign for the Presidency who now announces that he will be a candidate for the Republican Senatorial Nomination next September. Butler completed the unexpired term of the late Henry Cabot Lodge in the Senate having been appointed by Governor Channing Cox in November 1924. Now he seeks to succeed Senator Gilett who has announced that he will retire at the end of his present term.
