1934 Press Photo Mona Gallighen made the mysterious phone call to Gettle estate

Alternately tearful and defiant, the "molls" of the "snatch mob" continued to declare they were ignorant of the gang's plot against Gettle and of its execution. Interrogators were attempting, however, to connect one of the women with a mysterious telephone call made to the Gettle estate an hour before the kidnapping, by a woman, it was through the call was made to determine whether the seizure had been made or not.
