Clark, Sr., 84 year old mother of Attorney General Tom Clark reads of the offer President Truman made to her son of an appointment as justice of the United States Supreme Court at her home in Dallas, Texas, July 29. Mrs. Clark said the Attorney General called her to ask whether he should accept the appointment. Mrs. Clark urged her son to accept.
