NY Raymond J Kely left of Detroit Mich and Edward A hayes of Decatur Ill who are among the possibilities mentioned as choices for National Commander of the American Legion at National convention in Portland Sept 15 Mr Kelly is Detroit lawyer and national executive committeeman of American Legion He served almost a year in France during the world war being commissioned 2nd Lt of field artillery at Samumur He was active in arrangements for the convention of Legion held in Detroit Mr Hayes is lawyer of Decatur Ill who is active in civic affairs and who has served as delegate to every department convention of the Legion in Illinois He was also a delegate to National conventions in Cleveland and San Antonio
