With champion players from all parts of America competing the National Public Courts Tennis Championships got underway in Los Angeles. Above the five contenders each one a champion in their own city who are competing for the national womens singles title. They are left to right Helen Germaine New York City Constance O Donovan Detroit Catherine Malcolm Chicago Muriel Leech Topeka and Frances Lodge of La Jolla California.
