Florence Maxwell will represent Oakland in the Hearst Grand National Tennis Championships to be played at Los Angeles. Yesterday Miss Maxwell won the singles title in match with Barbara Duncan, 6-4, 6-1. Metropolitan Oakland has already contributed three of the world's premier racquet stars to the game of tennis in the persons of Helen Wills and Helen Jacobs of Berkeley and Don Budge of Oakland. Will these winners of the Hearst Grand National repeat the climb to fame of their local predecessors.
