Alexander Whitney, president of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen, is shown leaving the White House after a talk with President Roosevelt today. His visit was almost simultaneous with the announcement of the Interstate Commerce Commission boosting fares one half cent more per mile. railroads. Prior to this fare increase were scouting permission to cut employees salaries.
