Charley Dressen, former manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers in the National League and Calvin Griffith, executive vice-president of the WA Nationals, sign contract at Hotel Commodore. Dressen signed to manage the WA team in the American League. No salary was announced, but it was estimated to be about $40,000 per year, for 2 years, plus a bonus based on attendance.
