Jeanne Bruni, of Laredo, is the latest golf sensation of TX. At the age of 14, after a little more than a year of tournament play, she counted 6 championships in 9 attempts. She teamed with pro Ed Oliver to win 2nd place in the pro-amateur of the $3,000 Laredo Open in February.
