Description
This is Blondy Cross, officially Bruce G. Cross, sports editor and former boxer who raised the money and got the volunteer labor to build a community gymnasium in San Angelo, Tex. He also got the lot on which it stands, from the Park Board, and donations of part of the materials. The "poor boys" gymnasium charges a $1 a month plus 10 cents tax; soldiers are admitted free. Dances and community programs bring in funds; when there's pressing deficit, Blondy Cross pays it himself.
