May 27--Engineered Coup D'Etat In Nicaragua--Former President Gen. Anastasio Somoza (above), who had been out of office only 26 days, yesterday directed the coup d'etat in which the Army took over the Nicaraguan government at Manague, Nicaragua, and the congress placed Benjamin Locayo Sacasa in the presidency last night. This picture was taken in 1976 by Perry Weimer, New York photographer and lecturer.
