1951 Photo - Ain't nature wonderful, beams Zoo Director Fred Stark. This baby emu (maybe an emu-let?) came out of an egg just like the one Stark has in his hand. The egg, with incubates in about 56 days, weighs two pounds, is dark green with light green spots, and if all goes well, hatches into an emu, which grows up to look a lot like an ostrich - but more like an emu --Staff Photo; 1954 Photo - Mission ball player
