Associated press columnist Hal Boyle, left and John Swaelens of The AP Brussels bureau visit memorial at Malmedy Belgium, site of the famous Malmedy Massacre of World War II. It was at Malmedy where troops of an American field artillery observation battalion were fired on by Nazi storm troopers after they were surprised and captured by breakthrough elements of Germany's First SS Panzer Division.
