Paulette Le Mescam, (above), 11-year-old French child, now living in England, has been "adopted" by Mrs. Eleanor Roosevet through the Foster Parent's Plan for War Children, Inc. Paulette, born in Paris, went to live in Guernsey at the age of four, left when the Germans took over the Channel Islands, now lives at Knutsford Colony, Moseley Hall, Knutsford, Cheshire.
