The 1982 front wheel drive - Ford EXP Sportcoupe combines fuel economu with ride and handling features usually found only on much more expensive sports cars. The new car has fully independent front and rear suspension systems, and its standard instrumentation includes a tachometer, ammeter and guages for oil pressure, engine temperature and fuel. Reclining bucket seats and halogen headlamps also are standard. A TR suspension option adds special wheels and tires and a larger diameter front stabilizer bar for an even firmer ride and tighter handling. The EXP has projected fuel economy estimates of at least 29 mpg (city) and 46 (highway). It wil be introduced at Ford dealership in April.
