The complex relationship between French painter Claud Monet, 1840-1926 and his art is explored in Monet:Legacy of Light, a 30-minute film presented on the 150th anniversary of his birth that airs Wednesday, January 31, 1990 at 10:30 pm ET on PBS. Left: Monet in 1899;Bottom: Grainstacks at Noon, 1890. Monet painted several versions of these grainstacks near his home in different lights and changing seasons. Monet: Legacy of Light is a production of WGBH Boston and Malone Gill Productions in association with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
