In these days of spiraling costs of higher education, it is startling to learn of a college that charges each of its students only $460 a year for everything, including room and board. But that is onl one factor that makes Berea College probably unique in the United States. This little college, hidden among the lovely Kentucky hills 125 miles south of Cincinnati, has started a new year tailored to meeting the needs of young people of the Appalachians.
