1991 Press Photo Bob Holland stands above water emptying from stripping tower

Wooster director of public works, Bob Holland stands above water emptying from a "stripping tower" into the Little Apple Creek south of the city Friday. Water from contaminated wells is pumped to the top of the tower and as the water aeriates through the towermuch of the contaminates are removed. Water from this well field south of the city has been chemically contaminated by companies from the 1950's and early 1960's according to Holland.
