1969 Press Photo Dr. Burt Barker dies of cancer at 95 - ora00989

Dr. Burt Brown Barker, 95, eminent Oregon Historian and Vice President emeritus of the University of Oregon, died Wednesday in St. Vincemt Hospital, where he had been confined with cancer. Dr. Barker, past president of the Oregon Historical Society was admitted to the hospital Saturday. He resided at 3438 SW Brentwood Dr. in Portland. Funeral arrangements are pending under direction of J.P Finely and Son Mortuary.
