The Geiger Muller counter is explained at a course in Chicago. Raymond E. Zirkle (left), instructor in the first course in the prevention and cure of illnesses caused by atomic radiation, starting today at the University of Chicago, explains the Geiger Muller counter to Colonel's William F. Patient (center) and Jacob R. Till, Jr., Army doctors. Navy, air force and public health service physicians are attending the six-month course.
