Basil O'Connor Members of the Tulane University football team that played and won the first Sugar Bowl Classic, January 1, 1935, will be guests of honor at the civic dinner Friday honoring charter members of the New Orleans Mid-Winder Sports Association. The banquet will be held in the Tulane Room of The Jung and will be attended by approximately 1200 persons, including 100 visiting representatives of intercollegiate athletics, universities, past Sugar Bowl football teams and members of the press and radio.
