Southern California For Coach Jesse T. Hill, the Rose Bowl is his second appearance during his four years as coach of Southern California. In the 1953 game his Trojans beat Wisconsin 7-0. Hill carries a 31-11-1 record for his four years but his 1954 team has a record that is one of the poorest in the history of the big bowl. This charges lost 20-7 to TCU; 34-9 to UCLA, and 23-17 to Notre Dame. Football
