Marjorie Hillis, author of two best sellers, "Live Alone and Like it" and "Orchids on Your Budget," started writing books quite by chance, she said in New Orleans Thursday. She was working for a magazine when she decided to write an article on living alone. But the idea grew and grew and soon, instead of a magazine article, she had written book. It proved a best seller. So did "Orchids on Your Budget," 150,000 copies of which have been sold to date.
