Claims political persecution - Owen Lattimore, against whom the U.S. Government dropped perjury charges yesterday, pauses outside a theater in Stockholm, Sweden. The educator, on leave as a Johns Hopkins University lecturer, is on a European tour. Lattimore, who had been accused of lying in denying that he had been a follower of the Communist line, said the dropping of the charges was a "simple admission that this was a case of political persecution."
