Aerial photograph, taken by Jeff Davis of The Item-Tribune staff from a plane piloted by Herbert Bott, Industrial Canal as it empties into Lake Pontchartrain. On the right bank of the canal may be seen several construction yards. But it must also be noted that undeveloped land stretches as far as the eye can see. 1940-1955
