The Reverend Dr. Edward L.R. Elson poses in he study of his church, The National Presbyterian, tonight in Washington after President-elect and Mrs. Dwight D. Eisenhower selected the fashionable Connecticut Avenue church as their place of worship while in the White House. Dr. Elson, a World War II Chaplain who served with the General in the European Theater, plans to confer with the Eisenhowers in New York on details ofa pre-inaugural private service for members of the family on the morning of January 20.
