Description
During a routine dormitory inspection at Keesler Air Force Base, the commander found women's clothing in the senior airman's closet. He also found a sewing machine and yards of fabric. The result was the beginning of Airmen Brent David's career as a designer. David's first sale was an emerald-green acetate gown-to the commander's wife for $15, plus a weekend pass, compliments of the commander. Now his creations cost as much as $2,000, silks replace synthetics and he's taken his designs to Bloomingdale's and Saks for consideration.

Photo is dated 1986.

Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches.
