"Altmark" Prisoners Returned To Scotland -- Leith, Scotland -- The British destroyer "Cossack," with her aft deck crowded with the rescued seamen, docking at Leith after removing about 300 British sailors from the German prison ship "Altmark" in Norwegian waters. The men abroad the Altmark were removed from ships attacked by the Naiz pocket battleship Admiral Graf Spee, which has since by scuttled by its crew after meeting defeat in a battle with three British warships off the coast of South America.
