Corrigan steps back on American soil again New York City - Douglas Corrigan steps off the gangplank to American soil again as the liner Manhattan docks at Pier 18, August 4th, after being met down the Bay by a great fleet of welcoming craft. Hie is followed by police officials and members of the Mayor's welcoming committee.
