1942 Press Photo Doctor Francis Patrick Corrigan, American ambassador Venezuela

Doctor Francis Patrick Corrigan, American ambassador to Venezuela stationed at Caracas, and one of the few American diplomats holding medical degrees, was in New Orleans today visiting with Doctor Alton Ochsner, prominent New Orleans surgeon and dean of surgery at the Tulane university medical school, apparently en route to his post. "The people of Venezuela and the rest of the Americas are 100 percent behind the United States in its fight against the Japanese."
