Mrs. Edith Dahl, lovely songstress whose photograph may have saved the life of her aviator husband, was rumored to have been invited to reside in Salamanca where Harold Dahl, her husband, awaits either his unconditional pardon by General Francisco Franco or an opportunity to be exchanged for a Nationalist aviator held prisoner by Valencia authorities. Mrs. Dahl appealed to Franco for her husband's release after his plane was shot down on July 12 by insurgents on the Madrid front.
