Description
New Orleans - Vehicle and passenger ramps at the Algiers ferry landing are now 90 percent complete, said President Ralph Nolan of Algiers Public Service. Crews have worked around the clock to repair damage done in the January 22 fire. The pontoon damaged in the fire was to be taken out of drydock this afternoon, and put into position tonight. One-ramp service at the landing will be restored Wednesday unless there is bad weather, Nolan reported.
