Twenty-five States Rights candidates for presidential elector in Alabama's May 3 Democratic primary met in Montgomery yesterday and agreed that, if elected, they will withhold the state's electoral votes from the Democratic nominee again if he is hostile to the South. Here are five of the candidates looking over the resolution they signed. Left to right are State Senator Walter C. Givhan of Safford, ex-Congressman John Newsome of Birmingham, former State Senator Bruce Henderson of Miller's Ferry, State Representative Grady Rogers of Tuskegee and I.J. (Jud) Scott of Opelika.
