James M. Nabrit, III, right, an attorney for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and Solicitor General Erwin H. Griswold stand together today outside the Supreme Court Building during a break in school desegregation hearings. During the proceedings Associate Justice Hugo L. Black lashed out angrily at Nabrit, accusing him of "trying to rearrange the whole country" to achieve school integration.
