Chairman Peter W. Rodino, D-NJ, of the House Judiciary Committee, responds to a question as he and Chief Counsel John Doar, left, and Albert Jenner, minority counsel meet with newsmen Thursday in Washington after White House attorney James D. St. Clair summarized the President's defense before the impeachment inquiry. St. Clair presented a final piece of evidence to the panel which he said would prove President Nixon "was not aware of and in fact disapproved" of paying hush money to Watergate defendants.
