1968 Press Photo Optical researcher Kiyoe Mizusawa studies pigeons eyesight

Description
Kiyoe Mizusawa, an optical research specialist with the Ocean Systems of Chrysler's Space Division in New Orleans, is conducting experiments with pigeons in hopes of increasing man's ability to see underwater. Miss Mizusawa said the bird's visual apparatus is closest to man's, adding that pigeons are plentiful and inexpensive.
