Description
A performance at Ashland, Oregon's Shakespearean Festival takes place in the outdoor Elizabethan Theater. It is a replica of Shakespeare's Globe Theater and offers fresh air performances from June to October. An indoor theater in the small town operates throughout the season. "If that theater were not here, I don't know if this town would exist, except as a college town," says one resident.
