He says he helped army intelligence spy on such Illinoisans as former Governor Otto Kerner, U.S. Senator Adlai Stevenson III, and the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, head of a black rights organization. With O'Brien is his lawyer, David Goldberger, center, of the American Civil Liberties Union, in whose office the conference was held.
