Kevin Steen, 12, of Phoenix, Arizona, looks with pilot Brooke Barrett at the instrument panel of a jetliner which carried him Wednesday to Honolulu, Hawaii, enroute to watch the Apollo 17 astronauts land in the Pacific Ocean. The boy, who has undergone nine operations for incurable cancer, is the Navy's guest for the recovery operation. The photo was taken during a brief stopover in San Diego.
