Description
Dr. Marshall Warren Nirenberg and his wife toast each other with beakers of champagne after he was awarded, along with two other American professors the 1968 Nobel Prize for physiology and medicine. The informal celebration took place today at the National Heart Institute in nearby Bethesda, Maryland, where Dr. Nirenberg works as a government biochemist.
