White House attorneys Michael A. Sterlacci, right, and Jerome J. Murphy leave the Supreme Court in Washington Thursday. They presented the court with a brief by White House lawyer James D. St. Clair which said in part that bypassing the United States Court of Appeals in the matter of the Watergate tapes and documents would result in "non judicial haste."
