Description
San Quentin Prison inmate Frank Nubin, right, appears deep in thought as he listens to California Adult Authority Chairman Henry Kerr reading a statement Friday announcing the former convict will be allowed to remain free by agreeing to 10 months and eight days more on parole. The Berkeley ironworker, who had been out of prison for 22 months and remarried, came to Sacramento and turned himself over to the state prisons chief after corrections officials told him he would have to return to prison because he was released prematurely on a typist error. At left is Nubin's wife Earnice.

Photo is dated 1971.

Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches.
