1986 Press Photo Brian O'Doherty's look at Renoir's Picasso 1919 sketch

Renowned artist and critic Brian O'Doherty offers a provocative look at French Impressionist Pierre-Auguste renoir (pictured in this 1919 sketch by Picasso) in "Renoir's Touch,"airing Friday, August 1 at 10:30 pm on PBS (check local listings). Using a selection of works from the Boston Museum of Fine Arts' recent Renoir exhibition, O'Doherty explores the artist's obsession with the sexualityof the female form and the vision that compelled him to paint. "Renoir's Touch" is produced for PBS by Greg Harney Productions in association with WGBH Boston.
