Description
Bubbling to the surface of the Pacific Ocean beside a drilling platform six miles off the coast at Santa Barbara, California, oil and gas create a vast oil slick which is posing a threat to beaches and wildlife. The oil is flowing to the surface at several places at the rate of 21,000 gallons a day from breaks in a pipe below the ocean floor.
