Bette Moore, 43, estranged wife of North Carolina state Senator Herman Moore, set fire to herself Thursday night after calling a radio talk show producer and telling him of her intentions. Mrs. Moore was reported in critical condition Friday. She is shown here on the steps of her Charlotte home.
