Description
Litton Industries came up with the idea in the early 1960s to build ships on an assembly line--somewhat like Detroit builds automobiles. Keels are laid simultaneously at Litton Ship Systems in Pascagoula, Mississippi for the third and fourth containerships under construction for the Farrell Lines, Incorporated of New York.

Photo is dated 1971.

Photo measures 8.75 x 8 inches.
