Description
Military jets sit on flightline at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa as usual Thursday whiles bases around the nation are put on standby alerty, apparently because of heightening tensions in the Middle East. Base officer and spokesman for the U.S. Readiness Command headquartered at MacDill refused comment on status. However, one source said Readiness Command had been on standby for the past 24 hours.
