Fred V. Malek, deputy director of the federal government's Office of Management and Budget resigned Monday to become the first of the top Nixon staff aides to officially leave the White House. Malek had served in various posts including being a key talent and personnel recruiter for former President Nixon since early 1969. This is a 1973 photo.
